Living Life on His Time.

This past week the University of Alabama was out for a short fall break on Thursday and Friday. Which led me home for a long weekend. While being home I got the great joy of spending time with my mom and sisters. As you can imagine Bailee involved in school, Jillian super busy with All-stars, me being constantly stressed Cass, and mom overwhelmed with school. It is very hectic around the Curtis Household. This is what has reminded me that we get so caught up in other things, and we don’t focus on things that truly matter. A few things happened Sunday morning, and we ended up at FBC Sylacauga. Let me just say it was a God thing! The overwhelming presence of God was so strong, it was breathtaking. Our family was so blessed. So thank you all that had a part in the service!

Reflecting on the past week I realize that God truly puts things in your life for a reason, whether it be a good thing, or bad thing. Whenever you have a drastic change in anything it takes lots to adjusting for everyone. This goes for families as well. When something takes a drastic, unwanted change in your family it takes lots of adjusting as well. Sometimes it’s easier than others, but more than often it is very tough. We must learn as humans that when going through a tough time, we have to all work together to get through the situation. Nothing will be accomplished if everyone is working against each other. It’s the small things in life that we must learn to cope with what has happened, and take everything day by day realizing that God has a plan for everything. He will get you through every obstacle – but on his time. That is the tough part. We constantly expect so much from him, and we try to put him on our own clock, when we will forever be on his clock.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5: 6-7

So my challenge for us both this week, is we must all work together when going through hardships, and let God handle the problem. Besides, we will forever be on his clock!

Live the Life. Fight the Fight. Just for His Glory!

If you are like me you pray about things all the time. But you never really realized how powerful prayer can be until something drastic has happened in your life. I'm sure everyone can attest to having something bad happen in their life, trust me I know the feeling. It honestly feels like that you have been overtaken and there is nothing you can do about it. Well, you are kinda right - you can't do anything but pray. Throughout the past year there have been many trials and challenges in my own life. There have been days of when I have doubted God, and honestly wanted to know why things happened to me. I soon came to the realization that God lets everything happen for a reason, no matter if you like it or not. What you don't know, is that he has prepared you for these problems and trials your whole life. He has shaped you into the person you are to deal with the certain situation, in the way that you believe is right.

It's hard to take in that He has let what happen, happen. But we as Christians must know, and realize that when you are a servant of the Lord, and you live your life in His will, and be one that is telling the good news, the devil is going to try everything he can to stop you and harm you. You must be strong enough to fight him every single day, and know that he is going to to anything in his power to bump you off track.

I realize that this isn't easy. Trust me, it isn't easy for me either. If you happen to think that you don't have a personal relationship with God, and you might not be able to feel the power of prayer. Listen to this, there is hope. " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 Rejoice in Him! And believe that He can get you through anything, I promise!

I urge everyone to reflect on this, and Please -

Live the Life, Fight the Fight, Just for His Glory!
