This past week the University of Alabama was out for a short fall break on Thursday and Friday. Which led me home for a long weekend. While being home I got the great joy of spending time with my mom and sisters. As you can imagine Bailee involved in school, Jillian super busy with All-stars, me being constantly stressed Cass, and mom overwhelmed with school. It is very hectic around the Curtis Household. This is what has reminded me that we get so caught up in other things, and we don’t focus on things that truly matter. A few things happened Sunday morning, and we ended up at FBC Sylacauga. Let me just say it was a God thing! The overwhelming presence of God was so strong, it was breathtaking. Our family was so blessed. So thank you all that had a part in the service!
Reflecting on the past week I realize that God truly puts things in your life for a reason, whether it be a good thing, or bad thing. Whenever you have a drastic change in anything it takes lots to adjusting for everyone. This goes for families as well. When something takes a drastic, unwanted change in your family it takes lots of adjusting as well. Sometimes it’s easier than others, but more than often it is very tough. We must learn as humans that when going through a tough time, we have to all work together to get through the situation. Nothing will be accomplished if everyone is working against each other. It’s the small things in life that we must learn to cope with what has happened, and take everything day by day realizing that God has a plan for everything. He will get you through every obstacle – but on his time. That is the tough part. We constantly expect so much from him, and we try to put him on our own clock, when we will forever be on his clock.
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5: 6-7
So my challenge for us both this week, is we must all work together when going through hardships, and let God handle the problem. Besides, we will forever be on his clock!
